This past quarter showed signs of increasing inventory and continued increase in sales prices in Collin County resale homes. Based on this information we believe that this is a great time to sell because the inventory remains low which drives higher prices. However, it also poses an issue for buyers who need to purchase a home because inventory is growing but not at a very fast pace. This leads to multiple offers on homes and so buyers are faced with a competive situation in the home buying process. We also saw something a little unusal this past quarter, new home builds were down about 22% compared to 1st quarter of last year. The wet weather was partly due to this issue.
